ABOUT
Mattia is a London-based sound designer, editor, and music
producer specializing in electronic music and sound design.
With a first-class degree in Music and Sound Design from
London South Bank University and an MMus in Sonic Arts from
Goldsmiths University, he has built a strong foundation in
music and audio technology, mastering D.A.W.s like Pro
Tools, Ableton, FMOD Studio, Logic Pro X, and Unity. This
technical expertise has fueled his contributions to diverse
audio projects in both film and video game sound design.
Mattia's professional experience includes collaborations
with film directors and private clients on music and sound
design production. His work on the short film “Heavenly
Rhymes”, which was selected for the “Viennale Film Festival,
the Beijing International Short Film Festival and
ThessalonikiInternational Film Festival” is a testament to his
artistic and technical abilities. Through these projects,
Mattia has developed a distinctive approach to sound that
enhances storytelling and engages audiences on multiple
sensory levels.
As an electronic music producer, Mattia creates techno under
the alias M.F.S: Observatory and ambient music as Tia-
Mellow. His music is featured on several prominent record
labels, and he has had the privilege of collaborating with
renowned artists, including Maya Jane Coles. In addition to
producing, he performs live as a DJ, showcasing
his creative range across electronic music genres.
Mattia is also the founder, owner, and manager of
Observatory Music, a techno label.His passion for
sound, combined with his broad knowledge and hands-on
experience, enables him to craft music and soundscapes that
captivate audiences and elevate each project he undertakes.
